So much to do, so little time Life tip - Hallie Crawford

So much to do, so little time Life tip Appreciating the value of time I’ve been reading a book called In Praise of Slow which discusses the benefits of slower movement, a challenge to the usual fast pace of our lives. It’s made me think about my relationship with time. I sometimes find myself getting up in the morning, thinking of all the things I have to do that day, and wondering whether or how I’ll have enough time to get it all done. Sound familiar? This kind of thinking stems from a sense of lack rather than a feeling of abundance. When I work with clients, I talk to them about approaching ideas and decisions from a position of abundance and possibility instead of fear or lack. What is your relationship to time? And what would it be like to come from possibility and abundance around time? Heres one idea (more to come): 1) Change your perspective Sure that to do list might be large, but you’re the one who freaks out about it! What if you adjust your mindset, prioritize your tasks, and choose to believe and trust you can get it all done, how and when you need to do it? Just making that small shift gives me a sense of peace and allows me to breathe more freely. When you find yourself racing around, stop and take a moment to check out your perspective on time. How are you looking at it? What’s another perspective you could take that might serve you better? (A portion of the book In Praise of Slow focuses on the Slow Food movement, an interesting approach to cooking and eating-among other things-to get us to slow down and enjoy our food and meals more! http://www.slowfood.com/)
